BEGINNING SATURDAY, JANUARY 20, DOWNTOWN ARTHUR, IL WILL HOST A NEW MONTHLY CRAFT AND ANTIQUE MARKET. THE NEW INDOOR MARKET WILL HAVE 15 TO 20 VENDORS EACH MONTH WITH MORE OUTDOOR VENDOR SPACE AVAILABLE IN THE WARMER MONTHS. THE MARKET WILL BE HELD IN THE “GAZEBO ANNEX BUILDING” DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE ARTHUR AMISH COUNTRY INFORMATION CENTER IN DOWNTOWN ARTHUR. THE MARKET WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FROM 10AM TO 5PM. NUMEROUS LOCAL AND AREA VENDORS WILL OFFER A UNIQUE VARIETY OF ANTIQUES AND CRAFT MERCHANDISE.
“WE HAVE HAD GREAT RESPONSE FROM VENDORS WANTING TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS NEW MARKET AND EXPECT TO FILL ALL SPACES FOR THE FIRST SHOW” SAID MARKET ORGANIZER GEORGE FRITZ. “ARTHUR HAS A STRONG TRADITION OF SUCCESSFUL EVENTS AND THE ARTHUR DOWNTOWN MRCHANTS EXPECT THAT THIS MONTHLY MARKET WILL HELP TO DRAW EVEN MORE TRAFFIC TO ARTHUR.”
THE MONTHLY MARKET HAS DRAWN INTEREST FROM ANTIQUE DEALERS AND CRAFTERS FROM AS FAR AWAY AS KENTUCKY. LIMITED INDOOR VENDOR SPACE REMAINS AVAILABLE.
